After you complete all of the steps on your retake application, your application will be pending until verified by board staff. Once the retake application is verified, you will then receive an email that your application is approved. Your retake letter will be uploaded into your Digital Wallet under the testing tab. This letter contains instructions on how to register with ASWB.

Please check your Certemy account to view the status of your retake application. If all steps are verified, please look in your digital wallet for your retake approval letter. 

 

If…. You passed your Clinical exam

  • It takes up to two weeks from the day you pass the exam for the Board to receive the results.
  • Once the Board receives the score, your LCSW license will be generated in your Certemy account.
  • You can find your new LCSW license under the certificates tab in your digital wallet.

If…. You passed your Masters exam

  • It takes up to two weeks from the day you pass the exam for the Board to receive the results.
  • Once the Board receives the score, the license will be generated in your Certemy account.
  • You can find your new LMSW license under the certificates tab in your digital wallet.

If…. You failed your exam

  • ASWB policy requires that you wait 90 days before retaking the exam.
  • You can complete a retake application if you wish to retake the exam.

Can I start supervision after I pass the Masters exam?

Once your LMSW license is issued by LABSWE, you then can start supervision. You can find the Supervision Contracts (complete to receive supervision approval) and the LCSW Application (Supervision phase will allow you to keep track of supervision). You can find these on the Supervision page.

Where do I find my new ID card after I pass the exam?

If you received an email that your LMSW or LCSW license was issued, please check your Digital Wallet under the certificates tab to view your ID card. You can download your ID card by clicking the three vertical dots to the right of your Digital Wallet.
